Waldburg Harthau
The conversion of an abandoned orphan home in the south of Chemnitz posed a challenge since the complex structure is protected by the german historical building law. A careful analysis of the various building stages and use of original materials allowed a sensible build-out without disturbing the gracious facade.
The new apartments all have a unique character, most of them are designed as 2 story loft-type condominiums.
