Stadvillen Rabenstein
The region of South Saxonia was famous for engineering and mechanised manufacturing in the times before the war. Former manufacturing buildings were found abandoned after the collapse of the communist regime in east Germany. KA coverted this glove production facility into a modern yet distinctly charming apartment building. By adding balconies and keeping the open, loft-style feeling this conversion served as a landmark demonstration of how to revitalize large industrial structures.
