L.A. Philharmonic Concert Hall
Frank O. Gehry won the competition for the
building in 1990 with a design of seemingly free-
floating curved walls clad in sandstone. Due to
budget cuts the building features now an
expressive titanium facade with ever-changing
reflections of the harsh southern California light.
The interior in contrast is a warm landscape
with plaster and wood cladding.
The geometry proved to be the biggest challenge
in the design process and was resolved only
through employing latest - technology 3D
modeling software Catia.
