April 2009:
The Crescent shopping mall in Saigon South will start construction.

The 110.000 sqm mall with 3 basements will be, once completed in 2011, the biggest sole retail structure in Vietnam as well as the first classic mall. Korn Architects are the lead design architects of the mall and will design the interiors as well. The state-of-the-art layout allows a flexible use and build-out as well as advanced fire protection. In a second phase a 30 story hotel/office complex will be added which is currently in development. The Crescent mall is part of the Crescent walk development where Korn architects also designed a 45.000 sqm service apartment building due to finish construction in December 2009
